Roll Sheet Cutter
Smart, accurate slitting and cross-cutting from roll to sheet, in working widths up to 3200 mm.
The Crest Roll Sheet Cutter (RSC) transforms flexible rolled materials into highly accurate sheets or strips for the Sign and Converting industries. The machine effortlessly cuts and slits materials such as paper, foil, vinyl, technical textiles, PVC, polycarbonates, carpet, and foam. Thanks to the automatic web tension control with a dancer roller, the material remains wrinkle-free and perfectly tensioned. The workflow is fully PLC-controlled and easily operated via a rotatable color touchscreen. Designed with a modular architecture, the RSC supports both cold and heated cutting options and is available in two versatile working widths: 1600 mm and 3200 mm.
Typical applications
Slitting and cross-cutting into sheets
Convert industrial master rolls into perfectly square, ready-to-ship sheets at customizable, programmable lengths. Utilizing heavy-duty cold crush-slitting knives and a high-speed shear cross-cutting system, the RSC processes materials like vinyl, foil, and PVC effortlessly. The built-in skew adjustment allows the operator to perfectly realign the cutting line to the material within 5mm, guaranteeing absolute squareness.
SMART CUTTING TO PRINTED REGISTRATION MARKS
The ultimate solution for the sign, display, and digital printing industries. Instead of cutting blindly to a fixed length, an advanced optical sensor scans the material for printed registration marks. The machine automatically detects the artwork boundaries, dynamically adjusts the cut, and trims away the waste matrix between printed images. This ensures 100% accurate alignment with your printed graphics every single time.
HIGH-SPEED CROSS-CUTTING WITHOUT SLITTING
When your production requires full-width sheets or rapid roll-to-sheet separation without longitudinal cuts, this mode maximizes throughput. Benefit from a rapid 4-second cross-cutting cycle time and automated transport speeds up to 15 m/min. Throughout the entire process, the automated web tension control and dancer roller ensure the material stays completely tension-free and wrinkle-free during the cut.
MODULAR CONFIGURATION & EFFICIENCY
Built on a heavy-duty industrial chassis, the RSC maximizes production uptime through its highly flexible, modular engineering. The machine in its most complete version, adapts seamlessly to evolving workflow demands, allowing rapid changeovers between cold crush-slitting and pneumatically controlled heated knives that cut and cauterize textile edges simultaneously. Equipped with dual rewinding shafts and a dedicated waste extraction layout, it performs complex multi-lane converting operations in a single, continuous pass. Every configuration utilizes the automated dancer roller system to completely eliminate material friction, ensuring flawless material tracking and consistent product quality at high operating speeds.

Why it cuts smart and accurate
HIGH-SPEED SLITTING & CROSS-CUTTING ARCHITECTURE
The foundation of the machine’s unparalleled precision lies in its heavy-duty knife configuration. By seamlessly integrating robust cold crush-slitting knives with a high-speed shear cross-cutting system, the RSC converts industrial master rolls into perfectly square, ready-to-ship sheets at programmable lengths. To maintain maximum throughput without sacrificing quality, the cutting line can be micro-adjusted on the fly using a built-in skew alignment function (+/-5 mm), guaranteeing absolute squareness across materials like vinyl, foil, and PVC.
AUTOMATED REGISTRATION & MARK SENSING
For the demanding sign, display, and digital printing industries, the system eliminates the risks of cutting blindly to fixed dimensions. The RSC features a smart optical sensor engine that actively scans the material web for printed registration marks. Once detected, the system dynamically adjusts the cross-cutting path and automatically isolates the artwork boundaries. This automated precision trims away the waste matrix between printed images, ensuring 100% accurate alignment with your printed graphics every single time.
TENSION-FREE WORKFLOWS & INDUSTRIAL CONTROL
Processing a wide range of media, including sensitive papers, elastic fabrics, carpet, and compressible foam, demands absolute web stability. The RSC utilizes an automated web tension control system paired with a mechanical dancer roller to ensure that the substrate remains completely tension-free and wrinkle-free throughout the entire cut. Managed via an intuitive, PLC-controlled color touchscreen, operators can confidently run full-width sheets at transport speeds up to 15 m/min with a rapid 4-second cross-cutting cycle time across the two available working widths: 1600 mm and 3200 mm.
