The Crest R2R Laminator Slitter combines protective and functional lamination, heavy-duty shear-cut trimming and precision tension-controlled rewinding in a single continuous workflow. One pass, one operator, one finished roll. Originally engineered for printed PET on self-adhesive PE foam and thin PVC. Configurable around a much broader range of printed roll materials and converting requirements.

01 / Laminate
Apply protective films and functional layers in one workflow. Self-adhesive PE foam, thin PVC backing, protective laminate over UV-cured, latex, solvent and eco-solvent printed media. The adjustable, heatable laminating rollers handle a wide range of substrates and adhesive systems.
02 / Trim
Heavy-duty pneumatic shear-cut trimming. Cleanly cuts the toughest substrates, including thick PVC, without breaking, deforming or cracking the material. Precise, consistent finished width straight off the line.
03 / Rewind
Automated web tension regulation via a closed feedback loop, from the heavy-duty unwind right through to the precision rewind. Wide tension range. High torque on the unwind side for rigid substrates. Controlled, delicate handling at rewind to protect print and laminate quality.

It features a heavy-duty pneumatic shear-cut system and automated tension control across all winding positions to ensure absolute stability. The same machine is also designed to handle delicate printed substrates with high precision, so it operates accurately across the full tension range.
The R2R uses automated web tension regulation through a closed feedback loop. Web tension is continuously detected and adjusted across the unwind, lamination, trimming and rewind stages. High torque is available where rigid substrates need it. Carefully controlled, low-tension handling is available where delicate printed media requires it. The tension range is wide, the regulation is precise, and the system protects both print quality and roll structure.
Yes. The R2R is a configurable platform. Crest engineers the machine around your material type, web width and production process, including custom lamination unit setup, trimming configuration, integration with upstream printing or downstream converting equipment, and tension parameters tuned to your substrate range.
A 5-year warranty applies, provided a service agreement is in place. Crest’s service organization supports the installed base directly from the Netherlands.
