Vertical Decoiler

Industrial laminating, cutting and winding machines » License Plate

A Basic Coil Unwinder, offered in two variants: a non-driven model with an adjustable friction brake, and a motor-driven option for enhanced control and efficiency.

Controlled coil unwinding at the start of your line

The Crest Vertical Decoiler is a compact coil unwinder that feeds aluminium coil into a license plate production line. It is available in two variants: a non-driven model with an adjustable brake for simple, reliable tension, and a servo-driven model for fully controlled unwinding at higher line speeds.

How the Vertical Decoiler fits into your line

The decoiler stands at the very start of the line and pays off aluminium coil at the pace the line demands. Correct, even web tension at the infeed is the basis for accurate lamination, blanking and embossing further down the line.

Key benefits

  • Two variants: non-driven with adjustable brake, or servo-driven
  • Vertical design with a compact footprint
  • Even web tension for stable downstream processing
  • Configurable for your coil dimensions and line speed

Frequently asked questions

Which variant do I need?

For lower line speeds and simple applications, the non-driven model with adjustable brake is usually sufficient. For higher speeds or heavier coils, the servo-driven variant keeps tension fully controlled. A Crest engineer can advise based on your line.

Which coil sizes does it accept?

The decoiler is configured to your coil width, diameter and weight as part of the line design.

Can it be integrated into an existing line?

Yes. The Vertical Decoiler is regularly supplied both with new Crest lines and as an upgrade to existing lines.
