FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The S-1400 is a hot and cold roll laminator with a heated top roller and a cold bottom roller. It is used for professional laminating and mounting of flexible media, with ionising bars that neutralise static charge for clean, dust-free results.
This S-1400 (built in 1989) has been completely maintained and overhauled by Crest technicians. Both rollers receive new rubber and the machine is fully tested before delivery, so you get proven Sallmetall build quality at a fraction of the price of a new machine.
The budget price of € 9.500,- includes the complete maintenance and overhaul of the machine and new rubber on both rollers. Transport and installation are excluded and quoted separately. Changes to the equipment or specifications will affect the price.
The machine has an electric unwinder with wrinkle correction (top rear), an electric rewinder (top front) and 2 winding shafts, so roll-to-roll jobs run smoothly and wrinkle-free.
A line pressure of up to 8 N/mm, a nip height of approx. 80 mm and a speed adjustable from 0 to 8 m/min. The machine further features electric height adjustment, a control panel on a swivel arm, a foot pedal for start/stop and an emergency-stop bar at the front.
The ionising bars neutralise static electricity on the material using compressed air. They switch on and off automatically via a sensor, or manually, and prevent dust attraction and sticking problems when laminating plastics.
Transport and installation are not included in the budget price, but Crest can arrange both for you. Contact us for a quote based on your location and situation.
