Materials that are often suitable for this type of process are:
- paper
- cloth
- foil
- plastic
- linen
This process always contains a step when the material is being cut. We are experienced with many slitting techniques, such as:
- razor cutting
- crush cutting
- shear cutting
- hot cutting
- guillotine cutting
Besides these slitting techniques it’s also possible to use simple straight knives for foils.
To finish the roll to sheet process, we developed different tools such as a stacking table and automatically changing cassettes for processing the finished product. With pick & place units we pick up the sheets and place them on the desired location.
Advantage
The advantage of a roll to sheet process is that the product is often directly cut to size. Therefore, the size of the product is less big and it saves weight so it’s easier for the next step in the production process.
